Nicki Minaj Denies Threatening to Shoot Mariah Carey, Says Mariah Is Looking For A ‘Pity Party’

Yesterday, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey were the talk of the internet after a video of Nicki Minaj giving Mariah a piece of her mind during an American Idol audition in Charlotte leaked online. To add fuel to the fire, Barbara Walters spoke to Mariah Carey after the blow out and gave highlights of their conversation on ‘The View’ earlier today. According to Barbara, Mariah claimed that Nicki not only shouted at her on tape, but was heard by many people saying she’d shoot her if she had a gun. As a result, Mariah feels emotionally uncomfortable and she has beefed up on her security.

This is how Barbara told the story:

Before the show I called Mariah and she said, what you heard was troublesome, but that’s not what really worried her. She said that when Nicki walked off the set, mutiple people heard Nicki say, ‘If I had a gun I would shoot [that] b—h.’She said there were staff members who heard, hairdressers, producers and other people. She said she’s very concerned, she’s with her twins. She doesn’t feel that anything would happen but, ‘Nicki is unpredictable.’ She says she’s not taking any chances and she has hired extra security. She says Nicki has not apologized but they have since been together at meetings with the producers and judges. There was a meeting yesterday morning. After the meeting Nicki said to Mariah, ‘I love you but we might fight again.’ Mariah responded, ‘No, we will not.’ At this point Mariah doesn’t feel comfortable emotionally, but she will continue with the show because she loves the show and she loves mentoring the contestants. Both of these women, by the way, have contracts. There is a photo shoot scheduled today, we’ll see what the climate is. And then I asked her what the other judges said about it and she quoted Keith Urban who said he just wants things to be normal. Her publicist Cindy Berger said, ‘For the record Mariah is doing well. She obviously has serious concerns but she’s hopeful that everyone will act in an appropriate and professional manner. She plans to move forward and she believes this season will be the best ever.

Now, when Nicki Minaj heard what was said on ‘The View’, she was livid and of course took to twitter to address her ‘Barbz’ while claiming Mariah wants a pity party. She tweeted:

Da Brat later sent a tweet saying that she never tweeted such a thing and she has respect for both Nicki and Mariah but unfortunately Nicki’s ‘Barbz’ had already made her believe otherwise, so Nicki tweeted:

And later retracted that tweet with:
