Suge Knight Claims Tupac Could Still Be Alive. Here's Why

Tupac Shakur is still alive, Suge Knight believes. The CEO of Death Records, who is currently in jail awaiting trial for a 2015 murder charge, was speaking to Soledad O'Brien and Ice-T for their upcoming Fox special, "Who Shot Biggie and Tupac?", when he claimed Tupac's not really dead.

In a video obtained by TMZ, Suge said questions over Tupac's sudden deterioration in hospital made him wonder whether he could still be alive. "When Pac died... I mean, if he really did, you know," said the 52-year-old music mogul on the phone from the L.A. County jail, prompting Soledad to ask him, "What do you mean by that?"
"I mean, when I left that hospital, me and Pac was laughing and joking. So I don't see how someone can turn from doing well to doing bad," he told them. Asked if he seriously thought the "Ghetto Gospel" rapper "might still be alive," Suge responded with a cryptic "I'm gonna tell you with Pac, you never know."

"Who Shot Biggie and Tupac?" airs Sunday, September 24 on Fox. It follows Soledad and Ice-T leading an investigation into the unsolved murders and uncovering new accounts of the shootings from people who were there.

Tupac was shot four times, twice in the chest, once in the arm and once in the thigh, in a drive-by shooting in September 1996 in Las Vegas after the Bruce Seldon vs. Mike Tyson boxing match at the MGM Grand. Suge was with him at the time. The pair were stopped at a red light when a "bow-tied" assassin opened fire.

Tupac was pronounced dead at the hospital six days later. He died from his wounds and from respiratory failure which led to cardiac arrest. His killer was never identified.

Speculation has been swirling over the years that Tupac actually survived and that he had faked his own death. Several photos have also emerged, purporting to show the rapper's alive and well.
